This is a section of the attractive interior at the combined Ardeo+Bardeo in Cleveland Park. Deb and I had brunch there.
Apparently they have a new chef. Although the food was decent enough (the cauliflower was over-peppered), it took forever to arrive. We got our appetizers more than half an hour after ordering. The entrees took an additional half-hour-plus to arrive after we’d consumed the starters.
To Deb’s great mortification, I flagged down the manager and let him know (politely!) how long our meal had taken. He offered us free deserts, and when we declined those, tendered us a generous gift certificate for our inconvenience.
Then the waiter presented us with an incorrect bill. *sigh*
The ambiance is very nice (although, my god, I haven’t seen that many late-20s-early-30s yuppies in one spot in a long time), and the food seems to be a good value, at least at brunch. I’m sure I’ll return, if only to use the gift certificate.
I hope when I do that they have their act a little more together.

“To Deb’s great mortification,”
I used to be like Deb, but not so much anymore. If the manager doesn’t know, he can’t fix it.
I agree with Dave – it’s good to bring these things to the manager’s attention. And they usually appreciate it.
