I’ve found myself photographing Tourneau shops everywhere I go. (Here’s one in New York City, for example.) I guess I’m drawn to the clock faces and the lettering of the logo.

It rather astonishes me that, with the ascendancy of the cellphone as timepiece (it has become the contemporary pocket-watch), any company can still make a go of it selling wristwatches.

As for this modern mom, I’d be willing to wager that she is not a U.S. native. Or, who knows, maybe it’s just the international vibe of the Tourneau store (all those clocks set to different time zones!) casting a glamour on her.
