Beach Twilight

Boardwalk, Anastasia Beach, St. Augustine, FL

Anastasia State Park, just ten minutes from the center of St. Augustine, is one of the loveliest beaches I’ve ever been on—easily comparable with those of the Outer Banks. It is clean, quiet, and offers a long, unimpeded walk at water’s edge. Vehicles and pets are not allowed. I walked for 40 minutes and crossed paths with only half-a-dozen people. Signs of civilization are few and far between.

I can imagine that a serene stroll on the beach after a day’s work would be tremendously therapeutic.
