We took a few hours off and rode the Tramway up to Sandia Peak to see the sunset. The temperature at the top is thirty degrees cooler than the scorching heat at city level.
There were no clouds in the sky to catch the late rays, but instead a haze of smoke from the fires that are blazing uncontrolled here in New Mexico.
